Pelican is one of only two 36ft versions of the Wharram Tiki design. Professionally built in the uk by Andy Smith from ply and epoxy she was launched in 1992 and still going strong. Schooner rigged with wing sails plus furling jib she has had a pod added. Engine power comes from twin 9.9 high thrust Yamaha outboards which can be lifted clear of the water and have the optional regulator fitted to charge the batteries.
